Your music, mixed live by the Alchemist.
Alchemist Music plays the songs on your phone, and its AI DJ mixes them as they play: matching tempo and key, splitting each song into drums, bass, vocals and the rest, and blending and mashing them into something new.

How it works
Everything happens on your phone. No uploads, no account, no subscription to start.
It listens to your songs
Every song is measured: its beat, tempo, key, energy, phrases and where it drops, even when it changes key or tempo part-way.
It splits them into parts
An AI model on the phone separates each song into drums, bass, vocals and the rest, so they can be blended part by part.
The Alchemist mixes
It picks what comes next, lines the beats up, and blends or mashes it in on the phrase, telling you why at every step.
One dial, from smooth to wild
Choose how adventurous the Alchemist is. Try it: the dial snaps at Full mashups, and past it, the Alchemist cooks.
Stem blends
The next song's drums come in under these vocals, then the rest follows, part by part.
- Smooth crossfades. One song into the next, gently.
- Beat-matched blends. Beats lined up, the bass handed over on the downbeat.
- Stem blends. Two songs blended part by part.
- Full mashups. Another song's vocals, melody or drums poured in, in key, all the way through.
- Let the Alchemist cook! Mashes back to back, scratches, effects and samples all through the set.
A DJ that never runs out of ideas
The Alchemist does it all by itself. You can take over whenever you like.
Real mashups
Vocals from one song over another's beat, its melody, bass or drums, matched in tempo and key, on the phrase.
Let it cook
Past Full mashups: beat repeats, echo throws, filter builds, scratches and backspins, a sound kit of its own, and samples all through the set.
Turntables
Every song in the mix spins on its own record. Put a hand on one to scratch, brake or backspin, and it drops straight back in time.
Ingredients
The Alchemist cuts its own samples from your songs (a vocal, a drum bar, a bass line) and drops them into the set. Keep the ones you love.
Event mode
Plan a set ahead, each hand-over yours or the Alchemist's, play it any time with as much room to improvise as you like, and record it to a file.
It learns your taste
A thumbs up or down, and its quick questions ("Want a big drop soon?"), steer every pick, mash and drop that follows.
Something new
Sort by Recommended for what blends best right now, and let the Alchemist suggest songs by artists like yours.
A brain if you want one
Optional AI models that run on the phone, your computer or the cloud choose among the best options and explain themselves in words.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Everything the Alchemist does is free. The free version plays a short on-air line now and then during its mixes; Alchemist Music Full, coming soon, has none.
Which phones does it work on?
Android 10 or newer. Splitting songs into parts works best on recent phones; on older ones the Alchemist still mixes, with simpler blends.
Does it upload my music?
No. Songs are measured and split on your phone, and never leave it. It only goes online when you ask it to, for example to download the stem splitter or a brain.
Do I need an AI model?
No. The Alchemist mixes well by its own rules. A brain is optional, and it can run on your phone, your computer, or a cloud service you choose.
Where does the music come from?
From your phone: the songs in its Music folder and any folders you add. Copy music into the Music folder and it shows up by itself.
Is there a version for my computer?
Alchemist Music for PC is on the way, for Windows first, with turntables, more decks and the same Alchemist. See what's planned.
